Wow, I just finished reading your book, REDEFINING MOTHERHOOD, and I couldn’t put it down! The moment I started, I had to finish it. It was so engaging, and every point mattered. I kept thinking, “How can she get this book across to others? What can she do?”
Every mother—especially Gen Z mothers and the mothers of this generation—needs to know what true motherhood is, and you captured it so perfectly. I even found myself learning and relearning things. You know how they say you have to learn, unlearn, and relearn? That’s exactly what happened for me.
There were things I thought I already knew, but as I read further, they started to go deeper. I’ve always known about the mothers in the Bible—some of them have been my reference points for motherhood. Last year, I learned about Jochebed, Moses’ mother. How did she keep a baby that didn’t cry? Babies cry, right?
But beyond the women of the Bible, I was introduced to Susanna Wesley’s story through your book. I never knew it was Wesley’s mother who took on such a pivotal responsibility. That was so insightful for me.
When we read the stories in the Bible, we believe them as Christians, but sometimes they can feel distant. However, to know that there are women in our world today—women who didn’t know God as we do but still believed in their responsibility to raise their children beyond their husbands’ roles—was so empowering.
I finished the book in one sitting. It is a must-read, and I’ll be recommending it to every mother I know!
